Pakistan, Türkiye discuss ways to deepen economic ties

WEB DESK: Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has highlighted the longstanding and close relationship between Pakistan and Türkiye during a meeting with his Turkish counterpart, Mr Mehmet Simsek, Türkiye’s Treasury and Finance Minister.

According to a statement from Pakistan’s Finance Division, Aurangzeb pointed to the substantial potential for boosting bilateral trade between the two nations.

He also noted the strong historical and brotherly ties between Pakistan and Türkiye, suggesting that Pakistan could benefit from Türkiye’s experience in reforming the power sector.

Aurangzeb encouraged Turkish businesses to explore joint ventures with Pakistani firms, which he believes could enhance economic cooperation and the exchange of best practices.

Both ministers reaffirmed their countries’ commitment to expanding economic collaboration, with discussions focusing on identifying new areas for growth and strengthening their partnership across multiple sectors.
