Gold price increases by Rs2,400 per tola in Pakistan

KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan continued to rise on Friday, reflecting the upward trend observed in global markets. In the local market, the price of gold per tola reached Rs257,300, marking an increase of Rs2,400.

The price for a 10-gramme gold bar stood at Rs220,593, following a rise of Rs2,057, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

The previous day (Thursday) saw a rise of Rs1,400 per tola.

Globally, gold prices also climbed on Friday, with the international rate reaching $2,458 per ounce, which includes a $20 premium. This represented an increase of $26 for the day, as reported by APGJSA. In contrast, silver prices remained stable at Rs2,900 per tola.
