WEB DESK: Audi’s Canadian division may have pulled the trigger a little too soon. A teaser image of the brand’s upcoming concept sports coupe slipped onto their Facebook page before being quickly deleted. But the internet never forgets.
Car-spotting accounts like Wilcoblok and Cochespias grabbed screenshots, giving us the first look at what Audi has up its sleeve.
The photo isn’t high-res, but it’s enough to spark debate. The side profile hints at a cocktail of influences: some Audi, a dash of Bentley, and even shades of Jaguar’s Type 00 concept.

Its mix of soft curves and sharper creases works well up front, but the blanked-out rear quarter window makes the silhouette look a touch awkward. The roofline also shows lines that suggest a retractable top could be in play, maybe a targa-style setup.
Building hype ahead of Munich
The timing isn’t accidental. The Munich Motor Show kicks off on September 9, and Audi is gearing up to take centre stage. To stoke anticipation, the company has already dropped two official teaser clips.
One features the iconic TT, captioned with: “The legends of yesterday are the blueprint for tomorrow.” The video flashes through Audi’s motorsport heritage, from classic race cars to the futuristic Avus concept, while promising a new chapter in the brand’s performance story.
Another teaser nods to the legendary Auto Union Type C and D “silver arrows,” lightweight aluminium-bodied racers with mid-engine layouts that were decades ahead of their time. Audi is clearly tying its past innovations to what’s next.
What we know so far
Audi CEO Gernot Döllner has already hinted that the mystery model is their TT Moment 2.0. He described it as an all-electric sports car that will sit “between” the TT and R8 in spirit. Spy shots from earlier this year show a mule resembling a Porsche 718 EV, suggesting the new coupe may ride on similar underpinnings.
A cloaked teaser image also suggests the concept will be smaller than the A5 Coupe or Convertible, which lines up with rumours that Audi is working on a compact electric sports car to take on the next wave of Porsche and BMW two-doors.
For now, Audi is keeping details close to its chest. But with the teaser campaign only heating up and Munich just days away, it’s clear the brand is setting the stage for a big reveal.
